Updated for 2014 and available to buy in packs of 6 or 12 – with all profits going to the charity War Child.
This infographic Christmas Card was a self-initiated project in 2013 – inspired by a conversation with a friend regarding the best Christmas song of all time.
The Pogue's 'Fairytale of New York' topped both of our charts – but we were surprised to learn that it never actually made it to number one (beaten in 1987 by the Pet Shop Boys' 'Always on My Mind').
This discovery set my mind to wonder how many other great songs and artists had missed out on the number one spot. Could I create a Christmassy visual to represent every number one – and indeed every number two – hit single of all time?
In 2013 I printed a small run of the design... and quickly ran out of them!
This year, following several requests to purchase the cards I have updated the infographic (to include 2013's Christmas Number 1 – X-Factor winner, Sam Bailey with 'Skyscraper'), and printed the design in Pantone 871C Metallic Gold ink on traditional greetings cards.
I have also updated last year's popular 'Christmas Number 2' card and printed them in Pantone 877C Metallic Silver ink.
Both cards are now available to purchase in packs of 6 or 12 over on my online shop.
All profits made from the sale of these cards will be donated to the charity War Child.
